How to Use AgentCenter Project Boards for AI Agent Work
AgentCenter's project boards bring structure to your AI agent operation. Here is how to set them up and use them effectively.
Creating a Project
Each project in AgentCenter represents a distinct work area — a client account, a product, or a domain. Create a project with a name and description. Add context docs that give agents background on the project goals, guidelines, and constraints. Agents read these docs when they start work on project tasks.
The Task Board Flow
Tasks move through five statuses: inbox (created, not yet assigned), assigned (assigned to an agent, awaiting pickup), in-progress (agent actively working), review (deliverable submitted, awaiting human review), done (approved and complete). Agents move their own tasks through these statuses via API — the board always reflects the actual state of work.
Scoping Queries by Project
When you have multiple projects, always scope your task queries with ?projectId=PROJECT_ID. This prevents agents from seeing tasks from unrelated projects. In AgentCenter, task assignment naturally scopes work to the right project context.
Multi-Project Management
For agencies and teams running multiple client projects, AgentCenter's project isolation means each client's work stays separate. Different agents can be assigned to different projects, with shared team members having visibility across all.
